This position offers a base salary range of $76,512 - $127,520 per year, depending on experience and qualifications, plus bonus based on company performance.

OVERVIEW

Supervise, plan, and execute building A&E projects on time at a high level across design programs. Responsible for managing an architectural team along with consultants working on assigned projects.
Provide oversight for the quality and management of Sheetz Store Design drawings for new stores, prototype drawings, store life cycle management, remodels, refreshes and rebuilds.


RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

1. Responsible for overseeing successful coordination and project completion through store development and design process from LOI to construction, including cross-discipline project efforts with M/E/P, structural, civil, and architectural consultants, and internal stakeholders for new stores, rebuilds, remodels, refreshes, prototype updates, site design, “go-backs”, and others as required.
2. Complete reviews of building plans for thoroughness, consistency, errors/omissions, and design standards; Coordinate corrections and updates with the design team.
3. Maximize the development of internal talent through measurable performance coaching on a regular calendar basis, performance reviews and presenting measurable developmental opportunities.
4. Issue RFP’s to potential consultants, negotiate bids, and execute contracts and invoices.
5. Ensure building design and due diligence is complete prior to project kickoff. Support Brand Design team for preliminary ideation and schematic planning.
6. Manage Addendums, RFI’s, and Field Orders. This includes coordinating and scheduling with Construction and Installation during bidding and construction phases.
7. Actively balance schedules and deliverables, in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining and meeting design objectives, scope, and project timelines and project deliverables.
8. Coordinate with internal personnel and external consultants as required to successfully complete store drawings to meet branding, marketing/sales changes, AHJ requirements, code compliance and current building standards.
9. Prepare and coordinate conceptual and design development site design, architecture, and interior design concept plans to be used by Real Estate, Engineering and Permitting departments for obtaining zoning, land development permits, and approvals.
10. Understand our Brand design standards including architecture and site standards, signage design, and fuel design.
11. Review comments from Plan Examiners, coordinate all responses with Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing consultants, revise drawings as needed, and prepare revised documents necessary to obtain building permits and approvals.
12. Conduct construction administration walk-throughs, installation observations, field quality control, and conformance documentation to brand standards and permitted construction documentation.


QUALIFICATIONS

(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)


Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an NCARB accredited program or a related design field required.

Experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Architecture and/or Engineering setting as a Job Captain, Project Lead, or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years’ construction administration experience required.
• Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience creating and maintaining accurate building plans & architectural drawings required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with building codes, materials, and systems in commercial construction required.
