SDS Industrial Engineer Intern – Supply Chain

The internship program will run from May through August 2026.

Assist in analyzing opportunities and developing methodologies to minimize cost, improve labor productivity, and improve equipment and systems utilization.

1. Perform detailed analyses to evaluate supply chain projects and improvement opportunities at the Sheetz Distribution Services (SDS) facility in Claysburg, PA
2. Applying Industrial Engineering tools and knowledge in a production facility
3. Apply Industrial Engineering tools and knowledge in areas that may include project management, waste reduction, non-value added activity identification and elimination, and labor studies
4. Assist in financial evaluations and projections for assigned projects
5. Assist in developing or maintaining reporting and monitoring performance measures
6. Provide support and recommendations to other ongoing projects

Education

• Pursuing 4 year degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3.0 GPA

Experience

• Candidates that have completed at least their 2nd year of coursework in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field are preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with data visualization practices and software, such as Tableau
• Strong communication skills, including written and verbal.
• Strong professionalism and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
