Provides legal guidance internally to various departments/stores and represent the Company in assigned legal proceedings to reduce liability and ensure legal compliance.
1. Assist with the review of EEOC cases and the drafting or related documentation.
2. Advise internal customers as to the appropriate interpretation of laws as applied to day-to-day issues involving employees, corporate policies and procedures and store support.
3. Review, create and negotiate contracts and assist other departments in their implementation as assigned.
4. Assist with the writing and implementation of corporate policies.
5. Attend department and external meetings which relate to assigned or new projects.
6. Conduct general legal research.
7. Advise all levels of management and employees on an appropriate course of action when legal situations arise to include assistance with investigations.

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required.
• Currently enrolled in Juris Doctorate program as a third-year law student; or graduate of JD Program required.
Experience
• No previous experience required.
• Previous legal experience in practicing law in one or more of Sheetz operational area(s) preferred
Licenses/Certifications (With ability to obtain licensing within three (3) months of hire)
• License to practice law in at least one state within Sheetz operational area (Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, Michigan) required.
