Tax Analyst

Responsible for supporting the Company’s tax compliance through financial analysis, coordination with tax preparers and advisors, verifying tax payments, ensuring adherence to tax laws & regulations, and assisting with tax strategies to minimize the Company’s tax liability.

1. Responsible for maintaining accurate sales tax configurations at the point-of-sale (POS) system to ensure the organization follows all relevant tax laws and regulations.
2. Collaborate with external tax consultants on corporate tax filings, audits, and technical tax issues, escalating as needed.
3. Support internal teams by coordinating data and documentation needed for tax returns, audits, and advisory projects.
4. Assist in responding to inquiries from tax authorities and assist in managing audit processes.
5. Maintain organized and accurate tax records, workpapers, and documentation for compliance and reporting.
6. Identify and help implement process improvements and automation opportunities in tax workflows.
7. Assist with the external audit of financial statements by reviewing accounts and providing requested schedules to auditors.
8. Preserves and enhances job knowledge by reading professional publications, participating in educational opportunities, maintaining professional networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university required

Experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in general accounting with a focus on sales tax, income tax, and/or regulatory compliance required
