The temporary associate will assist in capturing and analyzing opportunities to improve deliveries to stores.
1. Perform detailed analyses to evaluate supply chain opportunities for how Sheetz Distribution Services (SDS) services stores.
2. Collect feedback from store employees regarding the delivery experience and process.
3. Receive hands-on experience applying Industrial Engineering tools and knowledge primarily in a retail setting and at the production facilities.
4. Apply Industrial Engineering tools and knowledge in areas that may include project management, waste reduction, non-value added activity identification and elimination, and labor studies.
5. Assist in developing or maintaining reporting and monitoring performance measures.
6. Provide support and recommendations to other ongoing projects.
7. Travel to stores and observe deliveries on 2nd shift.
Education
• Highschool diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Currently a Junior or Senior enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business preferred
Experience
• No experience required.
• Previous exposure to advanced Microsoft Excel functions preferred.
• Previous exposure to data visualization practices and software, such as Tableau preferred.
