Lead a team of sales category analysts and manage all efforts and processes involving category analytics and retail pricing. Promote timely and optimized data driven category decision making, while also performing high level analysis when necessary.
1. Maximize the development of internal talent through regular performance coaching, performance reviews and presenting developmental opportunities.
2. Understand all different statistical methodologies and data visualization techniques and make informed decisions to help the category analysts determine the best approach for each request.
3. Manage the structure that aligns dedicated analysts to each sales category, ensuring that category managers are given the analytics support they need to make informed decisions.
4. Oversee of inside sales pricing strategy, ensuring that pricing projects align to budgeted sales goals and that we have the necessary pricing tools and resources in place to help make optimized recommendations.
5. Manage the analysis request process and close the loop with requesters, reaching out to determine timing, supplying the results, and then following up to ensure necessities were met and actions were taken, if applicable.
6. Understand and possibly prepare advanced statistical models for investigating more detailed relationships, identifying causal inferences, and providing significant insights that have larger impacts on bottom-line decision-making.
7. Understand our full database structure and where different data elements are stored.
8. Produce deep-dive analysis, identifying the causes and impacts of changes in promotional/marketing activity, providing clear observations, and providing and promoting the use of recommendations within the Analytics team.

Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with an emphasis in a financial, statistical, or analytical discipline required.
• Master’s degree in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Statistics, or related field preferred.
Experience
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in Financial, Statistical, or Data Science/Analytical related field required.
• Previous experience in utilizing programming languages or data visualization software (i.e. Tableau) required.
• Previous Supervisory/Management experience preferred.
• Previous experience with Databricks preferred.
