Provides advanced DevSecOps solutions in support of major development initiatives. In addition, this position is expected to share expertise and be a mentor to less experienced personnel as it relates to DevSecOps development.
1. Research the use of new or existing tooling or processes to advance the CI/CD ecosystem, the integration of new technologies or processes into the existing pipelines, and make recommendations for the purchase of software and hardware solutions for the creation and maintenance of first class CI/CD pipelines.
2. Possess advanced knowledge in the creation and tuning of build processes.
3. Respond to build issues and ensure builds complete within metrics set within the tools.
4. Possess advanced knowledge of monitoring, analyzing, and reacting to the output of test suites.
5. Develop quality and performance test suites, including integration into associated pipelines, at an advanced level.
6. Review Performance metrics in collaboration with SREs.
7. Possess advanced knowledge of the creation of deployment pipelines and associated code.
8. Create and maintain reusable processes for deployments across various environments, whether on-premise or in the cloud.
9. Ensure stability of pre-production environments for the purpose of regression and feature testing, in order to maximize the efficiency and productivity of developer and testing resources.
10. Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, SRE, and AppsDev leadership to develop useful metrics in the form of SLOs and SLIs.
11. Define, create and maintain applications & systems documentation, including Technical / User Documentation, Test Cases, Release Notes, etc.
12. Provide evening and weekend “on call / issue” support as needed. Sheetz is open 24/7/365 and as such, our internal and external customers may require support at any time.
(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered. Two years of experience is equivalent to one year of college/trade school)
Education
• A four-year degree in any discipline, which includes courses in computer programming, systems analysis, system development, or system engineering, is required.
• A four-year degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering is preferred.
Experience
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in an IT related discipline is required.
• Experience with any of the following is preferred: Application Development; System Administration; Test Automation Development
